MAXIMIZE MINIMUM TIME IN VEGAS

Your average stay in Vegas will be two nights and three days. Sin city runs on a 24 hr clock, letting you achieve an amazing amount of activity and fun, in such a short time. The key is to be prepared BEFORE you ever reach your first hotel or casino.

You’re first order of business is to pre-book your hotel of choice, with it being in an area that will be most convenient to what activities you desire to do during your stay. Location is everything is Vegas, as in can take up to two hours to “walk” the strip from Mandalay Bay to the Venetian. When you decide on which hotel suits you, also inquire about airport shuttles and times. Many of the hotels include this service, and if they do not, it is roughly about a $20-$25 cab ride from the airport to most areas of the strip. One should also inquire about the hotel’s policies on phone calls. This is an important tip, as a one minute long distance call from your hotel room can cost as much as $25. Purchasing a pre-paid phone card is the only way to go, if texting on your cell phone is not an option for you.

Secondly, if you wish to take in one of the hundreds of shows that run daily in the city of lights, pre-booking and purchasing of tickets is a definite must. Some of the most popular shows such as” O “at the Bellagio must be pre-purchased as much as three months IN ADVANCE. Going on-line and researching what you would like to see, along with availability, will save you disappointment, time, and money (as advance sales are usually cheaper than buying at the hotels). This also applies to most excursions, such as the Hoover dam and Laughlin. If you know you have a show, or an excursion booked, you can plan the rest of your stay accordingly. This is VERY helpful, as once you are actually in Vegas, the whirlwind of activity can easily swoop you up and put you down where you may not want to be.

The most important item you will ever bring to Las Vegas will be COMFORTABLE SHOES!!! Las Vegas Boulevard, or the “strip”, is approximately 4.5 miles long, with the average casino being several 100,000 square feet.

Las Vegas is an experience you will never forget, and with these few tips, you can start your vacation on the right, totally comfortable, foot.
