5 Ways to do Las Vegas on a budget

Do you make these common mistakes when traveling? Most people do!! The 5 steps listed here are not ground breaking but used correctly and they will save you a load of money.
Airline deals
It’s funny when booking a trip to Las Vegas I usually consider my flight one of the cheapest expenses. Having said this you can save a LOT of money, especially if you are flying across the country or globe, if you look for deals or alternate airlines when booking your flights.
Big companies like Travelocity are always a good source for information. If you plug in a date and destination they will immediately give you all the airlines that are flying that route. If they have coupons or sales on for the dates you are looking at you could save yourself a ton.
Here is a current Travelocity coupon: Save $100 on 3+ Night Flight + Hotel to Las Vegas when you use your MasterCard - PROMO CODE: VEGAS100
Hotels Sales
Even towns like Las Vegas have slow times. I guarantee you can save hundreds of dollars if you know when they are.
Another thing to consider is which hotel you want to stay in. Because Las Vegas has SO many quality hotels sometimes it is cheaper to stay across the road. With conventions and other events booking giant blocks of hotel time some hotels simply have more rooms to fill and their prices will reflect this.
Hotels combined is an excellent source to search all the hotels in a city in one quick and easy step.
Right now Hotels.com is advertising a Las Vegas Sale for New Years:Ring in the New Year in Las Vegas and Save! exp 12/31/07
Pre-booking events
With the popularity of certain Las Vegas Shows it actually is impossible to get into them without pre-booking. I mean in some cases actually buying the show tickets before booking your flight and hotel.
If you haven’t managed to get the tickets you like, you can always trya Tix 4 Tonight when you arrive in Las Vegas. They offer amazing deals on last minute tickets that come available due to cancellations and such.
Money Management
If you are a gambler and you are going to Sin City you should know what this term means. Money management is the simple act of spending your money wisely. Put yourself on a budget BEFORE you even get to Las Vegas. That way when you lose, remember most people do, then you will already have budgeted for this cost and you can get on with enjoying yourself. After all, enjoyment is why we all go on vacation in the first place.
Research
Research and plan before you go. If you have never been to Las Vegas, I am here to tell you the first time you will be overwhelmed. It is BIG, noisy and full of stuff to do. If you have some sense of what you are going to do on a given day, whether it be renting a Valley Of Fire Buggy Tour or sightseeing on the Strip, you will have a much better chance of saving a few dollars if you know what amenities are available, such as food, transport and if it’s an overnight event even lodgings.
Sites like MeOnNeon are here to help guide you through your Las Vegas vacation. Use them accordingly and they will save you time and money on your holiday.
