My Top 5 Las Vegas Shows

I thought it would be fun to list my must see list in Las Vegas. These all are standing shows and not the one time shows like Donny and Marie Osmond, so for the most part they should be available for you to book for your next vacation.

Cirque Du Soleil- Mystere

This was my first ever Las Vegas show and I went begrudgingly. In other words my wife made me. This is also the show that hooked me on La Vegas shows. I did not expect to stay awake never mind enjoy myself. This show is truly half circus half Broadway show. If you have never seen a Cirque I recommend starting with Mystere it will hook you and you won’t be able to help yourself, you will book another. This show is usually sold out but, you may be able to still get tickets in Las Vegas. If it is important to see this show I recommend buying tickets before you go. PurchaseTix.com offers them.

Jubilee!

Sadly Jubilee is the last of an era. They are the only show that actively uses the classic Las Vegas showgirl. But, what a show it is. With each performer changing costumes multiple times the audience is always being stunned by new amazing sites. The performers in this show are immensely talented and trust me when I say there is no other place on earth that you can see a show like this. After running for 25 years the show is usually not a sell out every night and tickets can usually be bought at Bally’s. Of course you can also buy tickets before hand and be prepared.

Tony N' Tina's Wedding

I wrote a complete review of Tony N' Tina's Wedding here. This one of those shows that feels more like a great party than a classic sit back and watch show. The audience participation is key and the cast does an excellent job of keeping everybody involved. Without a doubt this is a show that will stick with you for a very long time. This show is usually sold out so it is recommended to buy your tickets beforehand. You can purchase your tickets here or at PurchaseTix.com.

Monty Pythons Spamalot

Have you ever seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail? Well this is the movie come to life in a Broadway show. After winning 3 Tony awards this show has become an instant classic. It is a relatively new show in Las Vegas opening in March of 2005. I wrote a complete review of Spamalot here. This show is a personal favourite as I thoroughly enjoy the Monty Python brand of humour; I will admit though that it is not for everyone. This show is always sold out and pre-purchases are a must. Tickets can be purchased at PurchaseTix.com  or through the Me On Neon shows.

La Reve at Wynn Las Vegas

One of the newest shows on the strip is La Reve. It has quickly become a classic. At first fans may be reminded of the Cirque show O as both shows feature amazing acrobatics and water displays. Trust me when I tell you that La Reve is a classic in it’s own right. This show is utterly amazing. You will be mesmerized throughout the entire event. I went into more detail on the show in this post but the short and quick version is amazing venue, unbelievable cast and thoroughly satisfied customers. As you may expect this show is usually sold out. Do not expect to get tickets while you are there. You should definitely by your tickets beforehand and preferably a few months in advance. Tickets can be bought here or through PurchaseTix.com .

Well there you have it my list of must sees. Did I miss one of your favourites? Add it to the comments and we would be happy to discuss it. One last thing if you are planning a last minute trip to Las Vegas and you don’t have show tickets yet, there is still hope. A new service called Tix 4 Tonight is now available; they offer last minute tickets for a discount.
