How to choose a Las Vegas hotel, for beginners.
Sometimes when you do something many many times, it becomes so easy that you forget how hard or intimidating it was the first time. Such is the case when it comes to planning your Las Vegas vacation.
There are so many hotels that it is VERY easy to get yourself booked into one that is miles away from where you would like to be. But, how do you know where you want to be before you go? Well unfortunately you don’t.
Here are a few suggestions to make your first trip a little easier.
- Choose a hotel that is centrally located. I would recommend smack dab in the middle of the Strip. Fremont definitely has it’s own charms but, I would save that for another time. Here is a helpful map of the strip.
- Be careful when you booking an all inclusive (a trip that includes flight and hotel). Some of the “deals” that you will find on sites like Travelocity are not quite as good as they first appear. The hotel is usually offering rock bottom prices because they are in a hard to reach or undesirable location.
- Know your prices before you book. I ALWAYS use a free tool like hotelscombined.com. Their free search engine will give you a very good indication of what you should be paying for your hotel room.
- Be prepared. Take a few minutes doing some research before you go. Although it is fun to just walk and see in Las Vegas , because there is so much going on it is very easy to miss an event you really would have liked to go to. I actually missed a great bike show last time and I am still regretting not looking it up before I went.
I plan on adding many more useful suggestions for your Las Vegas trip, so be sure to check back often or if you like you can sign up for my RSS feed and never miss a post.
