This is a topic I feel pretty comfortable wrting a post on. After all I am a dad and I am a fairly seasoned traveler. Especially where Las Vegas is concerned.
So if you are have a dad or a husband that are anything like me I am sure you have been asking yourself what the heck do I get him for Father's day? Unfortunately, there is no easy answer that I can give you but…. I can certainly give you a few good ideas.
The most obvious coming from a Las Vegas blog is send him to Las Vegas. Which while not being a bad idea it is only about half of a good idea. A better idea is send him to Las Vegas but give him some things to do while he ,or if you are going with him, while you are there.
Now to get things started off, I am not going to give you any "event" ideas today I'll save those for the coming week. I will however give you a coupon code to save you some money when it comes to booking the trip.
Book Flight + 4-Night Hotel to Cancun or Vegas and Save $75 When Using your MasterCard> PROMO CODE: SAVE75
Also if you absolutely must find something today Chitika may be able to help you find something to your dad's liking. See the banner at the top of this post.
If not you'll just have to check back in tomorrow to see what type of special events we come up with at Me On Neon.

The owners of The Venetian also happen to own The Palazzo, the reason I mention this is that The Palazzo is currently offering a deal that Venetian customers were able to enjoy a few months ago.
The 1.8 billion dollar Palazzo is the first new major hotel-casino on Las Vegas Boulevard since the nearby Wynn Las Vegas debuted in April 2005. Although at first The Palazzo and Venetian seem quite similiar, the ultra contemporary Palazzo differs immensely from the Renaissance era Venetian.
So what is the deal??
The Palazzo is promoting a sizzling summer deal where it is offering its Palazzo Luxury Suites with a king bed and sofa sleeper from $159 on weekdays and $199 on weekends (pre-tax) through Sept. 7 for those who book by June 2. As part of their online-only Sublime Summer package, there are added perks and discounts at the on-site stores, restaurants and casino.
Reserve your Spectacular Summer Package online and you’ll receive:
* $25 Gaming Credit
* 2 for 1 entrée at Mainland (Opening May 3rd)
* Spend $50 on food and receive $15 off at the 40/40 Club
* 2 for 1 beverages at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
* Complimentary Internet Access
* Purchase a Jersey Boys ticket and receive a complimentary ticket upgrade to Phantom of the Opera*
Not to toot my own horn but I did mention in a recent post that I was pretty sure that the Sands Corporation (which owns The Palazzo and Ventetian) would be posting some deals soon. Looks like the "deals" are starting to appear!

Just got a note from hotels.com that they are offering some killer deals for the summer.
They are advertising Las Vegas from $39. And no the Bellagio and the Venetian will not be on that list but there are still some deals worth checking out. Enjoy

So I decided to do a search for all the deals on travel that I could fit in one post. Most of these have nothing to do with Las Vegas but… I figured someone out there could use the savings. I only wish it was me who was travelling

A few months back I wrote a post on whether Travelocity was worth the bother. At the time, I definitely could not find rates that made it a sure winner.
What a difference a few months makes. I don’t know if Travelocity has bought a lot hotel rooms, or they have negotiated a better deal, but it seems that the rates they are offering are significantly better than what you will find at competing websites.

While not all of these deals are necessarily Las Vegas specific, I thought that they may come in handy if you are traveling in the near future.
Cheers!

Las Vegas may not be the first place that you think of to take a loved one for Valentine’s Day, but it should be. With a slew of top notch restaurants, insanely beautiful rooms and relaxing spas around every corner Las Vegas is the perfect romantic getaway.
The problem is getting there cheap enough. So I thought we could do a little bit of the leg work for you and see if we can put together a deal that makes sense.

Here are some great Travelocity deals. The only catch is they expire in a few days so if you are going to use them, use them quick.
Enjoy.
