Low season in Las Vegas

October - 5 - 2007 Reporter: Rick

Yes, even the great sin city actually has a low season. Where they receive fewer travellers than normal months, and we are smack dab in the middle of low season right now.

While the rest of the country is gearing up for winter and experiencing cooler temperatures, September and October can be very pleasant in Nevada. With night temperatures still in the 70’s it is a welcome change to walk the strip without the need of water misters.

Casinos report lower than average conference booking for the next couple of weeks. I have also noticed that the Strip casinos are nowhere near as crowded as they have been.

If you have the time and budget now is a perfect time to book a quick Vegas getaway. With less people about there are some deals to be had. It is also the perfect weather to be enjoying life outside the Casinos. Nevada is home to some of the greatest golf courses, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and countless other outdoor activities.

Using HotelsCombined.com I found some hotels in the $60 a night range, including Excalibur and Circus Circus.

It’s because of the heat, without a beach no one wants to fry like that.

Does Las Vegas actually have a low season? We’ve been all year round and it’s great, the summer is way too hot though.
